Description

My name is Mikayla Deiter and I am from a small town in Perry County. I am a part of an amazing organization called 4-H which aims to grow leaders who are active in their community and passionate about changing their world. That is me. I grew up in Newport, Pennsylvania and played on the town softball league for 6 years; then, I aged out and became a lifeguard. At work, I was called to action to save a young girls life, but when we called 911, we did not receive help for 20 minutes. This is when I realized the importance of having an AED in all places, because help is sometimes very far away. I am now leading a community service project for 4-H in which I will provide AEDs for all my local softball leagues. This is a hefty project, and I need all the help I can get.
