Hello, my name is Kara Renaud, and I am the athletic trainer for Chariho High School and Middle School. There are about 400 athletes each season in which I am medically responsible for after school hours when they are playing their sport. Currently, there is not an AED that belongs to the athletic training department that can reside with the athletic trainer on the sidelines of games and practices, and travel to away games when attended. Having a portable, outdoor AED would benefit the athletic training department greatly by being able to provide fast emergency care if necessary.
