I am the Safety Director and proud cheer dad of one of the nearly 100 youth cheerleaders in the Carver Youth Cheer program. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our program is now 4 years old. Starting with only 20 cheerleaders our first year, we have grown exponentially, bringing home 2nd place trophies from Pop Warner Nationals and 1st place trophies from YCADA Globals Championships in 2025.

As a firefighter/EMT and former CPR instructor of 15 years, I know first-hand how nondiscriminatory Sudden Cardiac Arrest is. It doesn’t just impact our elderly population, but I’ve seen first-hand how it can strike at young athletes as well. We are 100% fundraising based and with our ever-growing program, every dollar helps.

This grant will not only allow us to continue with our main mission, but also provide the safety that our athletes need.
