I am LeeAnn Chievitz, the JRC Public Relations Coordinator for both of our JRC preschool learning centers in Canton, Ohio. I am campaigning for two AED’s for each of our two learning centers with Pediatric pads included since the majority of our children are under 5 years of age with a few reaching 5 years of age before graduating on to kindergarten. Also manual defibrillators would also be wonderful additions as we have some children under one year of age.
We are reorganizing our safety program and really need these two AED’s to keep our children safe in case of an emergency. Our learning center on Parkway does not currently have a workable AED and we would like to install one and place in our main entrance where it will be visible for the entire center to use if needed.
Our learning center on 14th Street currently has one AED, but needs another placed at the opposite end of the building for easy access for other classrooms to use if needed. Note: It would take more than the 3 minutes just to get to the current AED on only one end of the building.
