Description

We are Congregation Shir Hadash, a progressive Reconstructionist Jewish Synagogue that meets in Milwaukee WI at the Plymouth UCC Church near the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. While formulating safety and security plans for our upcoming High Holy Days Services, we became acutely aware that medical emergencies are infinitely more likely than an armed intruder, and that the church does not have an AED anywhere on the premises. There are community events, a gymnasium that students use and a daycare center in the building, and our goal is to install an AED in the area we share with others, so that it that might be available to the entire community that meets in the church.
